11% rise in copper concentrate output in 10 months

TEHRAN- Companies under the National Iranian Copper Industries Company could produce 895.5 thousand tons of copper concentrate in the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2016- January 19, 2017), which shows 11 percent increase compared to the same period in the preceding year, IRIB news reported.

The figure stood at 804.73 thousand tons in last year, the report said.
Copper concentrate is the result of a flotation process after the copper ore has been mined and milled. Copper concentrate is an intermediate product used as raw material in the production of copper metal.
